Description Freeman Boatworks builds some of the most respected offshore catamarans in the industry. We are seeking a Harness Assembly Technician to support electrical harness production with precision, consistency, and high workmanship standards. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys detailed assembly work and takes pride in doing things the right way. What You’ll Do Harness Assembly Assemble wire harnesses following released drawings and work instructions Cut, strip, label, and terminate wires Assemble connectors and perform crimping using approved tools Install seals, load connector cavities, and verify proper fit Perform looming, heat shrink, strain relief, and mounting as required Follow build board layouts and routing guidelines Confirm components match the assigned kit before beginning work Testing & Inspection Perform automated continuity testing on completed harnesses Record test results and notify the Lead of any issues Support basic pull testing and tool checks as directed Properly stage and protect completed harnesses Workmanship & Quality Build to current drawings and revisions Maintain a clean and organized workstation Follow standard connector and labeling practices Communicate any drawing questions or quality concerns promptly Who You Are 1–3 years of experience in wire harness assembly (marine, automotive, aerospace, or industrial preferred) Experience with Deutsch DT/DTM/HD connectors preferred Able to read harness drawings and follow wiring diagrams Hands-on experience with crimping, termination, and loom assembly Familiar with continuity testing equipment preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work at assembly benches for extended periods Fine motor skills for precise crimping and termination Ability to lift and move materials up to 40 lbs Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment What We Offer Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, company-paid life & disability + more! 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays A collaborative, people-focused workplace built on craftsmanship and innovation Please note: Employment with Freeman Boatworks is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
