Description

We are looking for a day shift Harvest Supervisor to join the Bolney Wine Estate in West Sussex.
With previous vineyward experience, you will lead the cellar team during daytime or nightly operations throughout the 2025 vintage. You’ll oversee grape intake, continuation of grape processing, fermentation activities, sanitation, and cellar logistics, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise grape reception, sorting, crushing, and press loading.
  • Coordinate pump-overs, punch-downs, and fermentation monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of cellar activities and grape weights.
  • Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards across all equipment and workspaces.
  • Lead and motivate cellar hands, interns, and seasonal workers.
  • Communicate effectively with the Assistant Winemaker and other shift leads.
  • Monitor inventory of cellar supplies and report needs.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and enforce PPE usage.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: £13.50 per hour
