Haul Truck Driver Classification Non-Exempt Job Summary The Haul Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of industrial and commercial material handling equipment to and from various customer job locations and company facilities. Essential Functions * Conduct inspection of haul truck before departing. * Local hauling of equipment with safe loading and unloading, including safe securing of equipment. * Responsible for adhering to DOT standards and requirements. * Maintain ongoing communication with transportation coordinator. * Safe unload as per client specifications. * Review deliveries with customers to ensure equipment delivered is correct and in good condition. * Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer Qualifications * Valid CDL Driver’s License * Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as delivery driver, towing tandem axle utility trailers, and towable material handling equipment. * Ability to operate safely within high traffic or congested city zones along with small areas. * Clean driving record * Strong customer service skills * Must possess a positive and professional attitude Typical Physical Activity Inside a commercial vehicle, inside and outside loading areas. Physical Demands consist of standing, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching overhead, driving, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, reading, speaking, hearing and lifting up to 75 lbs.
