Description

The HAUV Technician will oversee and pilot the Hovering Autonomous Under Water Vehicle (HAUV) whilst it is on the deck and whilst conducting subsea operations or other supervised tasks.
This position will be responsible for the overall scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the vehicle, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of vehicle and skid components, and its various survey sensors required for its missions.
Certain tasks in addition to piloting/mission planning for the vehicle include installation and retrieval of survey sensor equipment on the seabed and emergency recoveries.
The job also encompasses system mobilization and demobilization including preparation of AUVs and containers for safe lifting as well as installation of AUV control vans and peripheral deck side equipment required for AUV operation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • HAUV, ROV or AUV experience
  • Proficient in installing, interfacing, and calibrating electrical and mechanical equipment for Survey and Inspection scopes, such as pipeline inspections and GVI.
  • Experience using various configurations of survey equipment, such as MBES, SSS, SBP, LiDAR, Pipe Trackers, etc.
  • Proficiency in the use of EIVA software and have knowledge of the effective use of SprintNav and Phins.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to unexpected situations and find ways to achieve the best performance from the skill sets you possess.
  • Knowledge of Subsea Operations: A strong understanding of subsea infrastructure, including pipelines, cables, platforms, and other subsea structures, is crucial. Familiarity with subsea operational techniques for intervention and survey work scopes.
