POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Manager to sell sightseeing tours and activities to hotel concierges, online travel agencies (OTAs), and travel agents. This role requires an independent and results-driven professional who can manage relationships, grow sales, and represent our brand across the islands.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of the Hawaii tourism market and experience working with hotel concierges, OTAs, or travel agents.
- A passion for travel and a strong understanding of sightseeing tours and activities.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven success in outside sales, preferably in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
SKILLS:
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing your schedule and priorities effectively.
- Exceptional reporting and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Activity partners, Desk Agents, OTAs, and travel agents to promote and sell our tours and activities.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to clients across the four main Hawaiian Islands, requiring frequent travel.
- Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to expand our market presence.
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and promotional materials tailored to the needs of each client.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of our product offerings and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Utilize CRM software to manage leads, client accounts, and sales activities, ensuring all interactions and updates are documented.
- Provide timely and accurate sales reports, market feedback, and forecasts to management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and promote our services.
