Education: LLM/LLB Degree in Law. Experience: Minimum of 4/6 years relevant legal experience, of which 3 years in the banking sector. Job Objective: To ensure the protection of the Bank from any future legal vulnerabilities by providing legal advices to the credit process performers and reviewing and confirming legally required documents. 2. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare loan, pledge/mortgage and other related contracts. Ensure the legality of all the Bank’s borrowers. Review contracts, ensures their completeness and signs on it. Review appropriateness of the registration of mortgage contracts and the collateral insurance policy/contracts. Ensure security documents are properly kept with other authorized staff. Ensure and facilitates the proper filing of loan documents and files. Review and Follow up the period of limitation of Mortgage contracts for timely and proper action. Represent the Bank before a court of law, other judicial tribunals and organs. Track legal defects and loopholes and take/recommend appropriate corrective measures. Coach and train the process team members on legal issues. Work collaboratively with credit performers. Prepare weekly and monthly report. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
