Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for representing Food Matters Market with professionalism and integrity Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures Provide excellent customer service, answer customer questions and potential complaints Do not prescribe products to customers Meet and exceed financial goals Responsible for maintaining a customer friendly, clean, organized and safe work environment Follow proper safety guidelines Condition (fronting) product, shelves, and displays at beginning and end of shift Receive and stock deliveries in a timely manner Take special orders when necessary Put up, make if necessary and maintain shelf labels and signs Rotate product and check for expiration dates Assist in inventory Work Planograms when needed Support overall store operations and any other duties assigned by Store manager Requirements Education, Credentials, Certification, and/or Experience Some experience in retail and/or customer service position Willing to consider other education and/or experience, which provide the applicant the ability to perform essential skills and responsibilities Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong communication skills Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills Working knowledge of nutrition, supplements Commitment to quality customer service Awareness of common allergies and dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegetarian, etc Willingness to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and Holidays Willingness to be open, to learn and to take on new responsibilities Work in fast paced environment, while ensuring customer service Treat people fairly, consistently, and with respect Lift up to 50 pounds/if, more have another team member assist in lifting items Bend, reach, stoop, kneel loads Stand and be on one's feet for majority of work day Comfortably and safely use sharp cutting instruments Be exposed to food ingredients and cleaning agents Working Environment This position is exposed to dust, noise, and temperature extremes. There are possible equipment movement hazards; electrical shock, and exposure to chemicals and solvents. This is a fast-paced work environment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
