JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly and professional team. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
• Relevant HCA training or NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Competency in phlebotomy and basic clinical observations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection.

• Assisting GPs and Practice Nurses in the delivery of care.
• Undertaking clinical tasks such as:
• Phlebotomy (blood taking)
• Blood pressure monitoring
• ECGs
• Urinalysis
• Height, weight, and BMI measurements
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Administering vaccines or B12 injections (if trained)
• Supporting chronic disease management clinics (e.g., diabetes, asthma).
• Assisting with health promotion and patient education.
• Preparing and maintaining clinical areas and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate and timely patient records using the clinical system (e.g., EMIS/SystmOne).
• Ensuring infection control procedures are followed.
• Supporting with stock control and ordering of clinical supplies.
