Job Description
Job Title: Reporting Specialist I
Work Group: Housing Contract Administration - HMIS
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Data Analysis and Systems Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Responsible for coordination of all Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) Housing Contract Administration (HCA) reporting activities in accordance with funding requirements and program guidelines, including updating management and educating staff and agencies on assigned projects. Provides technical assistance relating to reporting processes and ensuring adherence to timelines. Uses quantitative and analytical abilities to integrate, analyze, report, present and publish data, primarily from the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) but also from other internal and external sources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, run and analyze reports according to established schedule to consistently monitor agency/user performance and system data quality, including preparing information for the Action Plan, Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), Annual Performance Report (APR), Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR), and similar reporting requirements. Produces reports for departmental use and to keep executive management informed as needed.
  • This function requires the utilization of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), including extracting data as needed, developing and running reports for KHC analysis and planning purposes, and using HMIS data to complete reports required by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other funders.
  • Collects, reviews, approves and processes required documentation for multiple concurrent projects to ensure information is up to date and in compliance with federal, state regulations, HUD, KHC and other program policies and guidelines in order to complete reports accurately. Maintains information in appropriate software systems.
  • Assists with the annual count of homeless individuals in Kentucky required by HUD (K-Count).
  • Assists with the development and review of program policies and procedures, ensuring adherence with such.
