We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team!

YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE UK, WITHIN THE CARE SECTOR

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to our elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Working closely with our nursing staff and healthcare professionals, you will create a positive and supportive environment for our residents, enhancing their quality of life through compassionate care and meaningful interactions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant is required
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from nursing staff.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Flexibility with working hours, as this role may involve shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents’ rights and privacy.
  • A satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required *You will need to cover the cost of your DBS, if you do not already have one. This can be done at your interview.

Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to residents, respecting their individuality, dignity, and independence.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate aids and techniques to ensure their safety.
  • Encourage and assist residents with eating, drinking, and following dietary requirements.
  • Engage in meaningful interactions with residents, offering companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in recreational activities and social events for residents’ enjoyment.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional well-being to the nursing team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents, ensuring their comfort and security.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to develop and implement individual care plans.
  • Attend to residents’ personal and healthcare needs, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in promoting independence and self-esteem among residents, encouraging their active participation in daily activities.
