Since 1947, the Moffitt brand has been synonymous with great service, and we encourage you to see why our customers prefer us over our competitors. - We are currently looking for a dependable, experienced HD Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join our team. - This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can diagnose problems, work independently, communicate professionally, and take ownership of their work without constant supervision. - Our mechanics play a critical role in keeping our fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, pumps, PTO systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, steering and suspension systems, and related components • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures efficiently and accurately • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and inspection records properly • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment • Work closely with operations and leadership to minimize downtime and maintain fleet readiness • Perform after-hours or emergency repairs when necessary • Follow all company safety procedures and DOT-related requirements Preferred Experience & Qualifications: • 3–5+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred • Experience working on medium-duty and heavy-duty truck fleets • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • PTO, tanker, hydraulic, and fuel system experience preferred • PACCAR Davie4 and/or Cummins INSITE experience preferred • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus • CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements is a plus • ASE Certifications are a plus What We’re Looking For: • Positive attitude • Strong work ethic • Dependability and accountability • Team-oriented mindset • Professional communication • Pride in your work and work area • Someone who solves problems instead of creating them Schedule: • Rotating schedule (typically 5/2) • Nights, weekends, holidays, and after-hours work may occasionally be required depending on operational needs Benefits: • Competitive pay based on experience • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off • Stable long-term company with strong team culture Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Moffitt Services is an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, or any other status protected by the laws.
