Responsibilities

The Research Officer is located within Faculty of Health and is expected to have a broad range of knowledge and expertise across the different areas of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) administration and is required to assist the needs of the Faculty research team.
The Research Officer provides high quality service and support for HDR students and the UTS research community through the effective and client focused administration of HDR admissions, scholarships, collaborative research degrees, candidature management and support, researcher development activities,
governance and compliance.
This role is internally titled “Research Officer”.

If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and timely research administration support, coordinate reports, maintain calendars, and assist with ethics compliance.
  • Supporting research committees with meeting coordination, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintaining research guidelines, SharePoint content, newsletters, and manage administrative tasks including HR and finance systems.
  • Reviewing and enhancing administrative processes, and support strategic initiatives through project and event coordination.
  • Organising research events and seminars, manage bookings, communications, and provide on-site and virtual event support.
  • Updating research web content and marketing materials to ensure they remain relevant and engaging.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and senior executives to support planning, presentations, and communications.
