  • A degree in Criminology or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Experience teaching Criminology or Law at Level 3 or above, ideally within an FE or HE setting.
  • Knowledge of Access to HE and/or HE curriculum design and assessment.
  • A learner-centred approach and commitment to inclusive education.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer to join our diverse, innovative Higher Education team based at the Basford Campus.

This role involves delivering high-quality teaching across our Higher Education (HE) Criminology programmes and Access to HE (Business) courses, supporting adult learners and aspiring professionals in achieving their academic and career goals. You will design and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, support learners’ progression to university or employment, and contribute to curriculum development and quality enhancement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning on HE Criminology and Access to HE Business programmes.
  • Plan, prepare and assess coursework and assignments in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to a diverse cohort of adult learners.
  • Contribute to curriculum review, development, and quality improvement activities.
  • Engage with internal and external quality assurance processes.
