SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Processor/Closer will manage a pipeline of home equity applications and loans submitted by the loan officer. The Processor/Closer will analyze the application data, supporting borrower documentation provided, credit report, flood determination, valuation, and title products, and then reach out to the borrower on behalf of the loan officer, vendors and other external companies as needed to compile the information necessary to submit the loan to the underwriter for a decision. Once clear to close, the Processor/Closer will reach out to the borrower on behalf of the loan officer schedule closing and prepare closing package.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of clerical or office experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced, team oriented atmosphere where the environment changes on a consistent basis
  • Able to prioritize tasks and organization daily functions
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience processing task in a paperless environment

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Six or more months experience in the mortgage industry preferred
  • Six or more months experience in financial industry preferred
  • Prior experience processing home equity or mortgage loans
  • Prior experience successfully communicating directly with members and/or borrowers via all communication portals including face-to-face, telephone, text and email
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate productive communication with borrower, branch loan officer, home equity underwriters, vendors and other external companies as needed to gain documentation, information and facilitate loan closings and disbursements
  • Perform outbound telephone contact with borrowers as required to facilitate loan status and gain required documentation
  • Manage efficient follow up for documentation and information required to meet key performance indicators for processing and closing workflows
  • Provide home equity loan assistance to branch personnel
  • Update loan origination system with key information and dates as well as manage tasks and historical comments as required
  • Manage a pipeline of loans while maintaining key performance indicators established to control quality, accuracy and efficiency
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of departmental procedures
