The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration service working in conjunction with colleagues, service users to provide an efficient service for the functions of the Head and Neck governance team. They will provide an empathic and sensitive point of contact.
The post holder will also exercise initiative and judgement using acquired skills and knowledge, always maintaining confidentiality. They will undertake work using own initiative and to tight deadlines to achieve Trust standard and targets and Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s).
We currently have a great opportunity for a Clinical Governance administrator to join the well established team working within Head and Neck. The Clinical Governance administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Governance team, ensuring that high quality and timely support is provided at all times.
You will be required to liaise with people at all levels and coordinate various aspects of the governance administration role. You will have excellent IT knowledge and skills and the ability to use Excel and other applications. You will be responsible for helping promote effective governance, risk and patient safety. Undertake administration functions for the department, such as data input, photocopying, filing, letter writing, etc.
Ensure that all evidence required to be submitted is readily available and up to date.
Record minutes for all clinical Governance, sub care groups.
Develop action logs.
Be sympathetic and sensitive to the requirements of staff, service users when communicating by telephone or face to face, including dealing with a difficult situation, e.g. aggressive or demanding behaviour.
Provide day to day diary management for the Governance and Matron Team which includes arranging and co-ordinating meetings and act as a first point of contact to resolve conflicting diary appointments
