JOB SUMMARY

Seeking a passionate and hard-working individual with attention to detail to be in charge of the cafe and day to day of our quaint little bistro.

SKILLS

  • Strong barista experience required. This is a management position and you will be in charge of smooth operation of our coffee section.
  • Basic maintenance as well as deep cleaning of coffee machines (La Marzocco Modbar) steam wands and grinders (Mahlkonig).
  • Know how to dial in, coffee recipes and the creativity to introduce new cafe items and drinks.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance in all aspects of food handling.
  • Excellent serving skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers.
  • Basic math skills for handling card transactions accurately and analyse reports.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Adaptable in a dynamic hospitality environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment while also being self-motivated.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Manage a small team of baristas and coordinate with other heads of department and ensure smooth operations and standards.
  • Plan monthly rotas and small amounts of admin.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and serving.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations when necessary.
  • Handle card transactions and maintain accurate till operations.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and enhance their experience.
