JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. You will be the lead with our speciality coffee, curating the offering and ensuring consistency across the team when it comes to beverages.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous barista experience is essential.
• Familiarity with food safety practices essential and a food hygiene certificate is preferred.
• Basic food preparation skills are an advantage, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks during busy periods.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations as needed.
• Handle food preparation tasks, including baking pastries and preparing light snacks.
• Manage cash transactions with basic math skills for accurate handling of payments.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Restaurant currently operates 11-3.30 Tue - Sat though as the team expands we will move to earlier opening times and a sixth day trading. Flexibility across the week is expected.
