Job Description:

  • Overseeing and contributing to the care of all hotel guests with the understanding that without our guests we would not be required to operate a hotel.
  • Communicating our services and facilities to guests as required.
  • Showing respect for other team members at all times.
  • To ensure that the Food & Beverage area is to the highest possible standards of cleanliness, and guest comfort at all times and to promote a positive image to both customer and colleagues alike.
  • To provide the highest standards of service within the food & beverage dept.
  • To ensure prompt service.
  • To meet the department goals and objectives in particular with regards to standard of bar service and customer service.
  • Carry out any special cleaning of specific task (job of the day) as well as normal service to the required standard in specified length of time.
  • To comply with all statutory and legal requirements and Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, licensing and Employment, ensuring that you are fully aware and practice the Hotels policies and procedures in these important areas.
  • To encourage an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages the Team to have pride and commitment in their area of work.
  • To maintain at all times a good working relationship with your fellow workers and Management.
  • To be flexible with regard to working hours in order to handle any unexpected requirements.
  • Dealing with any customer complaints in a professional manner and taking appropriate action to rectify difficulties.
  • Attendance at all training programmes as organised by the hotel Human Resources Department.
  • Creating and maintaining an effective working relationship with colleagues and Managers.
  • Accepting responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of each hotel department during each duty shift.
  • Maintain a strong Management presence at the Courtyard Bar.
  • Ensure close liaison is maintained with the Kitchen and nights team, updating them on the requirements of groups and late arrivals as necessary.
  • Completing any other reasonable request made by Management Supervisors or colleagues to assist the team and our guests.
