QUALIFICATIONS

 Degree/diploma in Brewing Operations (or equivalent experience)
 3+ years brewing experience, including leadership responsibilities
 Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
 Experience with mixed fermentation, fruit/spice adjuncts, barrel-aging, and wild yeast
cultures is a major plus
 Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
 Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to production demands
 Passionate about craft beer, creative, and eager to innovate

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Brewer to lead our brewing operations from grain to glass. You’ll oversee all aspects of production on our 15HL brewhouse developing recipes, optimizing processes, and ensuring every beer that leaves our doors meets our high standards.
You’ll report directly to ownership and collaborate closely with us to drive innovation while maintaining our core lineup.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Lead, mentor, and manage the brewing team
 Oversee all brewhouse operations: milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, whirlpool,
knockout, grain-out, and CIP
 Manage cellaring tasks: fermentation monitoring, yeast handling, dry hopping, CIP, etc.
 Handle packaging: kegging, canning, and small-batch bottling
 Maintain quality control through sensory panels and QA protocols
 Develop and refine SOPs; ensure full compliance with cleaning and sanitation schedules
 Collaborate with Purchasing Manager on sourcing and inventory of raw materials
 Ensure regulatory compliance (CFIA, safety, etc.)
 Track KPIs, brewing data, and production metrics; analyze and report findings
 Schedule brewing operations and continuously improve workflow
