Job: Head Care Coordinator
Rates of Pay: £34,000 per annum, plus mileage allowance
Location: Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire
You must be a driver and have the use of a vehicle for this position
Short Description
The Head Care Coordinator plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our domiciliary care service by ensuring staff rotas are efficiently managed and all rota compliance requirements are consistently met. The postholder will line manage and support the Care Coordinators to maintain up-to-date staff availability records, manage rotas, and ensure the service operates in line with CQC standards and internal policies. They will also provide cover for a Care Coordinator when they are out of the business in our branches in Brislington, Cheltenham and Cinderford

What you will be doing
· Provide line management to the Care Coordinators in three sites to ensure fortnightly Service User rotas are appropriately staffed
· Support Care Coordinators to promptly react to changes such as sickness, emergency cover, or client changes
· Monitor travel time to ensure it is kept to a minimum and all rotas are run efficiently for the business
· Complete quarterly audits to ensure delivery of Service User packages are in line with commissioned Local Authority contracts
· Ensure communication in rota updates to Care Workers and Service Users is completed in a timely and clear manner
· Support in monitoring care staff availability, preferences, and working time regulations
· Use Rota Management software, CarePlanner
· Act as a point of contact for rota and compliance queries from Care Coordinator

What we need from you
· You must have a valid driving licence and own vehicle
· Genuine passion for helping others and wanting to make a positive difference
· Flexible approach to your working hours
· Experience in a scheduling/rota coordination role within a care or health service
· Good knowledge of CQC regulations and care industry compliance requirements
· Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with care management systems
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
· Ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast-paced environment
