Job Details Job Location: Jackpot Junction - Morton, MN 56270 Position Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $21.50 - $42.78 Hourly Job Shift: Evening/Late Night (+Weekends) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Accountable for very large sums of money and chips. Open and close banks for every department in the casino. Give addbanks to cashiers. Give breaks. Balance vault and chip money logs. Call in replacement cashiers when needed. Keep log when manager is out. Make sure cashiers swap right. Able to make wise check cashing decisions with regards to customers. Perform Coachings or Active Disciplines when needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Experience as a Cage Cashier. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of authorized personnel entering vault, man trap and till count room. Knowledge of handling difficult situations. Able to work well with all employees. Able to learn new ways to get people in and out of vault in less time. Able to fix equipment such as Jetsort and money containers. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Able to lift Jetsort bags on and off of Jetsort. Able to load carts from vault as needed. Responsibilities
The Head Cashier is responsible for managing large sums of money and chips, opening and closing banks for various departments, and balancing vault and chip money logs. Additional duties include making check cashing decisions and providing coaching or discipline as necessary.
