We are looking for a dedicated Cheesemaker to join our family-run business in the heart of the Cotswolds. This role will suit someone methodical, practical, and detail-oriented – someone who enjoys following established recipes precisely to deliver consistent, high-quality results, rather than experimenting.
This is a hands-on role working with our award-winning Brie and Single Gloucester, as well as supporting the production of an exciting new variety currently in development.
At the Great Taste Awards, two of our cheeses received a 1-star award, and our milk was awarded 2-stars. We are proud of these achievements and are looking for someone who shares our ambition to build on this success as part of our close-knit family business.
Carry out the cheesemaking process step by step: milk reception, moulding, brining, ageing, and finishing.
Follow established recipes and production methods accurately and consistently.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency.
Support the Production Manager in delivering the production schedule.
Keep accurate records to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Be a reliable and positive member of a small, collaborative team.
