Find out more about us at www.benugo.com Job Description We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join the team at Benugo Barbican Centre. The Barbican Kitchen is located within the iconic Barbican Estate in the City of London. Open year-round from 10am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, it operates as a vibrant Café/Restaurant offering a dynamic and informal dining experience. The venue features a cold deli and seasonal salad counter, a pizza counter serving freshly made pizzas, and a hot food counter offering a rotating selection of seasonal meat, fish, and vegan dishes, accompanied by a variety of vegetable sides. In addition, there is a street food station with an ever-changing menu inspired by global cuisines. Service is assisted at the counters, with no table service provided. As such, there is no tronc system in place. We Offer: Rate: £46,000 to £48,000 per annum Contract: Full Time/ Permanent Shifts: 5 days out of 7, including weekends About the Head Chef role: To plan, organise and direct the kitchen team to deliver exceptional fresh and seasonal food to specification, ensuring that we never compromise on taste and quality To drive sales and monitor costs through responsibly ordering via quality and preferred suppliers To be responsible for all aspects of food safety, health and safety and COSHH To manage rotas and scheduling accordingly to the business needs To coach, train and develop the team To work closely with the group Executive Chef on menu development The ideal candidate will be: Experienced working within a high volume kitchen Passionate about designing, creating and delivering exceptional food dishes Commercially aware - i.e understanding or profit margins, purchasing, budgets, labour, food costs Additional Information Benugo has built a culture of inclusivity & progression for all employees.
