We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team at The Links Restaurant, a modern restaurant with a bar open to both the public as well as golfers that will make you want to have a pint or two after tackling our links.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in kitchen management, a creative approach to menu development and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional culinary skills and creativity
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • HACCP training is an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient service
  • Create and update menus with seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
  • Recruit, train and manage kitchen staff to foster a high-performance team environment
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation for consistent customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies and manage costs to ensure profitability
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage and sanitation
  • Manage kitchen budgets including labour, food costs and waste reduction
  • Engage with customers for feedback and make adjustments to improve their experience
  • Plan and execute special events, catering and private functions
  • Stay current with industry trends and seek opportunities for continuous improvement
