OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee all aspects of food production and preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a deep understanding of food safety, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are served, and maintaining a positive atmosphere in the kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and preparation.
  • Develop and design creative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation, and safety standards are consistently met.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service.
  • Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
