We at Decanter Winery and Dinery are a Wine Restaurant situated in the heart of Bruntsfield.
We specialise in small, large plates as well as sharing boards. We love to change our menu seasonally, with a focus on delicious dishes with a twist., Creativity is a must!
We have been incredibly game focused with, Venison, Duck and Boar, and looking to further capitalise on that.
Our wine tasting evenings are going form strength to strength, and have the opportunity to further focus on wine dinner events, With prestigious French and Argentinian Winerys wanting to co host in the coming months.
We are looking for a Head Chef to join our ranks, Our current head chef is leaving us after two years, with a strong menu and team already in place. A excellent motivated Sou helping to run smoothly and ease the process of change. Most importantly we have a fantastic Kitchen porter which is the back bone of the kitchen.
The current format of the menu is one that has worked incredibly well and would like to keep this and have someone bring some love and passion of their own, This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual to make their mark and take the menu to new heights.
Our last head chef took the job as he was looking for the right vibe and atmosphere.
Don’t let Bruntsfield, fool you, we are unpretentious and down to earth.
Wine knowledge isn’t important, But there is a lot of fun pairing dishes with different wines, as well as pairings with our managers new whisky menu.
This could also be a great opertunity for an experienced Sou Chef looking to take that next big step up
Were are a small close team form back of house and front of house and want to keep that togetherness.
The Owner is open to trying new things and pushing forward in innovation.
We are looking to go into the new year with fresh ideas and a innovative mindset.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation and presentation
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices
  • Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management would be advantageous
