JOB OPPORTUNITY: HEAD CHEF – FRANKIES RESTAURANT & BAR (ITALIAN CUISINE)

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year + Superannuation
Frankies Restaurant & Bar is a vibrant Italian dining destination in the heart of Sunshine Beach, delivering a warm and lively atmosphere paired with authentic Italian flavours. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen and bring creativity, consistency, and leadership to our culinary team.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial kitchens, preferably with Italian cuisine
• Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage food costs and maintain consistency in high-volume service
• Passion for Italian culinary traditions, including fresh pasta, pizza, and regional specialties
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Oversee and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality dishes
• Design and execute traditional and modern Italian menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain excellence in food preparation and presentation
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
• Control inventory, ordering, and food cost management
• Collaborate with management on menu development, special events, and seasonal promotions
