Harrier House Care Home, a newly built 84-bed luxury care home in Hucknall, is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, offering a competitive salary of £35,185 per annum. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU;

  • Previous Head Chef experience (essential)
  • Previous Care Home experience (diserable)
  • Available to work Mon-Fri and alternate weekends
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • Positive and caring attitude (essential)

Responsibilities
  • 40 hours per week
  • Salary up to £35,185 Annum
  • 5 days a week
  • Plan, prepare and cook varied meals which are nutritious and appealing and centred around residents’ preferences or requirements
  • Implement, monitor and maintain cleaning schedules that meet HACCP Manual requirements and ensure all areas of the kitchen are immaculate
  • Organise and order food deliveries with approved suppliers
  • Responsible for kitchen equipment and ensuring it is in full, safe working order
  • Budget responsibilities
  • Stock management and completion of audits
  • Planning and management of staff rotas
  • Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements including COSHH and HACCP
