Position: Head Chef
Salary Range: $80,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation
Employment Type: Full-time
We are a busy club located in Healesville, known for our classic Australian dishes with a focus on fresh local produce. We are looking for a skilled and experienced
Head Chef to lead our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Plan, design, and implement menus, including seasonal and special dishes
  • Develop new dishes and contribute to menu innovation
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Manage kitchen rosters and maintain effective cost control measures
  • Work closely with management to deliver a high-quality dining experience

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma of Hospitality Management
  • At least 3 years of full-time experience as a Chef, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or
  • Head Chef role
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of menu planning, food safety, and stock management
  • Creativity and passion for food presentation and innovation
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
