Are you an experienced and passionate Head Chef or 2nd Chef looking for a new challenge in beautiful Beaumaris on the Island of Anglesey?

The ideal candidate will will have the following experience and skills:

REQUIREMENTS

• To ensure the consistent smooth running of food production areas within the Kitchen
• To ensure effective control of stock purchasing, receipt, storage, preparation and service with regard to quality, quantity and safety
• To ensure, that all food production areas are operating to the required standards throughout the designated opening hours
• Maintaining a high level of food quality and production with the aim of exceeding our guest’s expectations
• To ensure that the food operations are controlled in a manner which reaches the desired cost of sales and maximising potential and optimising resources
• Ensuring the security of all foods, chemicals and equipment by maintaining procedures laid down by the Health and Safety Policy
• To ensure that at all times cleanliness, food safety and all other Health and Safety matters are adhered to so as not to breach any legislative points within the Food Safety Act 1990 or the Health and Safety at Work Act
• Organise orders
• Complete the staff rotas
• Menu planning together with creating new dishes
• To ensure all Training & Development is completed together with health & safety regulations

SKILLS

• You will demonstrate excellent cooking skills
• A thorough understanding of produce and ingredients
• An ability to write menus that are creative and profitable
• You will demonstrate good management and leadership skills and an ability to motivate your team
• You will demonstrate an ability to impart your skills on all other members of your team
• You will need to cope well under high levels of pressure
• You will have good organisational skills and be able to maintain all relevant paperwork
• You will a wide understand profit margins and how to maintain them.
• Good team player, hardworking and enthusiastic
• Passionate about food
• You will need extensive previous experience of working in a busy kitchen environment
• You will need all relevant health and safety and food hygiene qualifications
  Salary Dependant on experience, benefits include staff discount 28 days holiday and pension
  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
  Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
