JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences at Cheshire best weddings & events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating a passion for hospitality and food as a whole. As the Head Chef, you will be part of a senior team responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation while fostering a positive team environment.

SKILLS

  • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Ideally in an events setting would be preferred.
  • Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent team management skills, fostering collaboration among kitchen staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire the team.
  • Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a track record of delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff alongside the senior management team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations as well as internal guidelines.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house managers to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain kitchen efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance.
