JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven leadership skills to manage a team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining great standards within our premises.
We are aiming to offer a 4 day working week in order to help with a good work-life balance. Must be able to work weekends as well as evenings. Approximately 40-45 hours a week (10/11am-8/9pm).

SKILLS

  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment and multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of food production, preparation and cooking techniques and ensuring all food safety regulations are being followed.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Previous culinary experience in a restaurant setting is essential. Minimum of 2 years experience in same job role.
  • Be motivated in improving sales, meeting targets and creating good dining experiences for customers.

    Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and service.
  • Lead the culinary team in the preparation and presentation of good fresh food dishes.
  • Maintain good stock control, ordering supplies and managing stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and promote teamwork.
  • Work with management on new menu ideas for events and functions.
  • Maintain a positive working environment with a good work ethic.
