OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef or Chef who is aspiring to be a Head Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a solid background in food production, food hygiene, and the ability to lead and inspire a small team. As a Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • A passion for culinary arts, creativity in menu development, and commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Working and reporting back to our Management team.
  • Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and best practices throughout food preparation and cooking processes.
