Description

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to head up a small kitchen team, preparing a menu of fresh traditional Scottish dishes at, Kirk o’ The Lochs, Restaurant & Bar. This is a busy restaurant catering for large numbers of visitors to the Tarbet / Arrochar area including large tour groups and as such requires excellent organisational skills and a hands-on approach.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of the following duties and responsibilities

  • preparation of a variety of dishes to an agreed specification
  • high degree of attention to detail
  • able to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • level 2/3 food hygiene qualification preferred
  • scheduling
  • recruitment, training & developing of chefs
  • placing orders
  • accepting deliveries
  • maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen
  • keeping / monitoring food hygiene records
  • occasional solo working

other responsibilities will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate
