HEAD CHEF/MANAGER – WHOLESALE FOOD BUSINESS, SOUTHEAST LONDON

Unique opportunity to head up our brand new production / wholesale kitchen. Join our growing business, producing top-quality handmade savoury pastries, pies, quiches, and desserts. We’re seeking a hardworking Head Chef/Manager to lead a small team, oversee daily production, and ensure consistent product excellence.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven production kitchen experience in a managerial or assistant role
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations with HACCP expertise
  • Food Hygiene Level 2+
  • Reliable, hands-on team player with good leadership skills
  • Able to commute to Sydenham / Beckenham

Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage weekly and daily production schedules
  • Implement and guide staff as it relates to the company’s Quality Manual and HACCP
  • Organize, motivate and train the kitchen team to maximum efficiency
  • Place supplier orders and maintain good supplier relationships
  • Manage stock control and evaluate purchasing costs
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, safety (HACCP, Food Hygiene), and kitchen cleanliness (must demonstrate they can write and construct production and HACCP procedures.
  • Must be an excellent communicator
  • Pro-active attitude with problem solving capabilities
