REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-paced restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine; knowledge of Greek cuisine is a strong advantage
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive under pressure and remain calm in a busy kitchen
• Creative flair and passion for culinary excellence

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced, creative, and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and continue delivering an outstanding dining experience to our guests. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong background in Mediterranean cuisine. Knowledge of Greek cuisine is ideal but not essential—we welcome chefs with a broad understanding of Mediterranean flavours and techniques.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food prep, service, hygiene, and team management
• Create and develop seasonal menus that reflect the Mediterranean spirit and quality Opa is known for
• Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to maintain high standards in food quality and consistency
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
• Manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and supplier relationships
• Work closely with front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless guest experience
