YOUR MISSION AT ROCKET PADEL

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Kitchen Chef to join our team at our newest club, Rocket Padel Beckton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for customers, staff, and visitors, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. You will work closely with the kitchen team to assist on menu ideas that supports the health and performance of our sports community.
We will offer an exciting array of menu options that will wow our guests—from freshly prepared grab-and-go dishes to sit-in hot meals. And specially created corporate menus for large groups.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of nutrition, especially related to sports and athletic performance.
  • Excellent cooking and presentation skills with a focus on healthy, nutritious food.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing menus and seasonal ingredients.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and cook balanced, high-energy meals tailored to the dietary needs of customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Work with management to develop seasonal menus, incorporating fresh, healthy ingredients.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner, meeting quality and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food inventory, order supplies as necessary, and minimise waste.
  • Supervise and train new and existing staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Manage kitchen operations during busy periods, ensuring optimal service levels.
  • Maintain equipment and kitchen appliances, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Assist with special events or catering services within the sports centre as needed.
