What is the role?
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our brand-new pub located within St Mary’s Stadium. This exciting role offers the opportunity to create outstanding dining experiences for fans and visitors on match days and throughout the week. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.
What will you be doing?
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of food creation. This includes overseeing the food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and efficiency in every dish. A key part of your role will be supporting and supervising the kitchen team, organizing work rotations, and ensuring that all team members receive proper training and guidance on menu development.
You will also monitor food inventory levels and manage ordering to maintain adequate stock. While adhering to established menus and recipes, you’ll be encouraged to suggest improvements to enhance the dining experience. Collaboration with other departments will be essential, particularly when planning for special events.
Additionally, you will assist in developing and implementing new menu items and promotions to keep offerings fresh and appealing. Ensuring strict compliance with health and safety standards is critical, as is contributing to a positive and professional working environment within the team.
Is this you?
You have experience leading a kitchen in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and the ability to motivate and manage your team effectively.
You have the ability to utilise seasonal and British ingredients to develop industry-leading menus as well as a strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene, ensuring compliance and the highest possible standard.
