SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced volume café or similar
  • Strong menu development skills
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures
  • Time management skills with ability to work well under pressure and high volumes
  • Proven experience leading a team
  • Ability to be creative and think on your feet
  • Can do attitude and willing to take on any challenge
  • Ability to innovate ideas from TikTok to the menu
  • Ability to work together with Front of House team to drive results

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to join the team at The Beckley, our in-house café. You will lead the kitchen and food operations by delivering high quality food service, leadership of the broader kitchen team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leadership and development of the kitchen team, including recruitment
  • Obsessed with customer needs
  • Menu development, innovation and delivery, weekly
  • Budget management and delivery
  • Inventory management – ordering and stocktake control
  • Food preparation, delivery and kitchen operating rhythm, including impeccable platting standards and consistency
  • Internal catering for events and team connects
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of kitchen supplies
  • Health and safety as a top priority

This role is Monday to Friday.
