JOB OVERVIEW

The Old Prison in Northleach are seeking a talented Head Chef to take the lead in pushing our lovely little cafe forward. Great work life balance, talented team in place. Working alongside our team of Directors to help maintain the great level of food delivered currently and assist with making seasonal specials.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a cafe environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and production.
  • Excellent team management abilities with a focus on leadership and motivation.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Creativity in menu design and an understanding of current culinary trends.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximise profitability.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
