Looking for a Permanent Part-Time Chef, to work Tuesday and Wednesday
Located closely to Bronte Beach, located short drive or bus ride from Bondi Junction
Small team working to cater for 42 inpatients, staff and VMOs
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated experienced Chef who has a genuine passion for steering a team to ensure healthy meals are delivered to patients within then hospital. You will provide leadership to the catering team aiming for continued excellence in quality. The Head chef oversees the chefs to ensure recipes are followed and the quality of the cooked food is well presented and tasteful. The Head Chef works in partnership with chefs, dieticians and speech therapist to ensure all texture modified meals meet patient’s health requirements.
The role reports to the Support Services Manager.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the safe provision of food as per documented food safety plan
Support and guidance to the food service staff
Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards, WH&S management, rostering, stock ordering and function coordinating
Lead by example in a professional, considerate and pleasant demeanour to all stakeholders
Role model to peers and maintains positive staff morale through effective teamwork
