ABOUT US

The Cluster Tech Department Germany ensures that MediaMarktSaturn delivers innovative, secure, and customer-focused IT solutions for a seamless shopping experience in Germany through state-of-the-art technology and agile ways of working.

Responsibilities
  • Development and implementation of the IT operational plan for the respective cluster, ensuring alignment with the overarching IT and business strategy of MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group
  • Management of the cluster’s IT operational (Opex) and capital (Capex) budgets, with a focus on increasing efficiency and maximizing the value of technology investments
  • Functioning as the primary technology consultant and partner (m/f/d) to regional and MSD Board members
  • Oversight of the entire IT infrastructure lifecycle in the stores, from implementation and maintenance to upgrades and decommissioning
  • Serving as the highest point of technical escalation for complex operational issues
  • Coordination with central IT, business departments, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Implementation and enforcement of all corporate IT security policies to protect sensitive customer, payment, and company data
  • Ensuring full compliance of all stores within the cluster with legal and industry regulations, particularly GDPR and PCI-DSS
  • Ensuring the high availability and performance of all critical in-store technologies, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, store GMS, network infrastructure (WLAN/LAN), digital signage, inventory management systems, and staff devices
  • Promotion of a proactive and customer-centric service culture within the IT team
  • Leading the design and creation of a unified IT team across all MSD subsidiaries, including contact centers, warehouse locations, and competence centers, in order to establish the MSD IT team as the group standard
