JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Football Coach to lead our sports Club. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and develop footballers at all levels. As the Head Coach, you will be responsible for creating a positive and competitive environment that fosters teamwork, discipline, and skill development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in football sports coaching. With SFA or equivlent licences.
  • Strong teaching skills with the ability to convey philosophy and technique in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire Coaches and footballers to achieve their personal best.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning training sessions and events.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the Sports Club.
    Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 24 months
    Pay: £14.86-£16.15 per hour
    Expected hours: 6 per week

  • Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual Coaches, Players and teams as a whole.
  • Involve yourself in training sessions with team Coaches, focusing on skill development, strategy, and fitness.
  • Help team Coaches monitor player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Organise how teams operate and organise themselves, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively.
  • Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship among athletes.
  • Communicate regularly with players, parents, and coaches regarding progress and expectations.
