About the Role: The Head Women’s Basketball Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the administration and management of the Women’s Basketball program. Westminster University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA II) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree. * Demonstrate a record of success in coaching basketball and recruiting student athletes at the collegiate level preferred. * Ability to work independently. * Effective motivational skills. * Strong leadership and organizational skills. * Excellent interpersonal and public relation communication skills. * Ability to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. * Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with high standards and goals. * Commitment to high academic and professional standards. Preferred Qualifications: * Master’s degree. * Periodic overnight travel may be required. * Regular travel throughout the year and/or at specified times of the year will be required. * Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required. * Ability to respond to on-call as assigned, including evenings and weekends is required. * Valid driver’s license and successful DMV check required. * Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch required. * Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is required. * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required.
