Westminster University Head Coach, Women's Volleyball Employment Type: Full-Time Benefited Work Location: Westminster University campus 1840 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84105 About the Role: The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and leads Westminster University’s Women’s Volleyball program, competing in NCAA Division II and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The role includes recruiting and mentoring student-athletes, supervising assistant coaches, managing budgets, schedules, travel, practices, and equipment, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations. The coach also supports fundraising, community outreach, and the academic and personal development of student-athletes, while upholding the University’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, Master’s preferred. * Demonstrate a record of success in coaching Volleyball and recruiting student athletes at the collegiate level preferred. * Ability to work independently. * Effective motivational skills. * Strong leadership and organizational skills. * Excellent interpersonal and public relation communication skills. * Ability to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. * Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with high standards and goals. * Commitment to high academic and professional standards. Position Requirements: * Periodic overnight travel may be required. * Regular travel throughout the year and/or at specified times of the year will be required. * Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required. * Ability to respond to on-call as assigned, including evenings and weekends is required. * Valid driver’s license and successful DMV check required. * Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch required. * Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is required. * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required.
