Job Description The Head of Commercial Banking is responsible for leading the development and execution of the bank’s Commercial strategy in Kenya. The role drives business growth by managing and expanding relationships with commercial and business banking clients, ensuring the delivery of tailored banking solutions, and achieving financial and strategic targets. The position requires strong leadership to oversee a high performing team, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications Type of Qualification: First Degree Field of Study: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field Experience Required Relationship Banking (Client Coverage) Corporate Banking and/or Business & Commercial Banking 8-10 years Experience in banking or financial services (including experience in the field coupled with experience in senior leadership within a regional or multinational banking environment Additional Information Behavioural Competencies: Developing and Executing Corporate and/or Business Banking Strategies Leading high performing teams Embracing Change Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills. Making Decisions Technical Competencies: Banking Process & Procedures Strong understanding of credit Understanding of regulatory frameworks in Kenya Risk Management
