About the role We are seeking an experienced senior professional to join the Davy Compliance team to lead our Compliance Advisory function, which forms part of the wider Davy Risk framework. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned financial services professional with strong regulatory expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a practical, commercial context across Davy’s regulatory landscape. The role is broad and dynamic, well-suited to an experienced second line professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and adopts a collaborative approach. Davy Compliance also operates as part of the wider Bank of Ireland Group Compliance function. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in overseeing the firm’s regulatory obligations, including MiFID, MAR, AML/CFT requirements, and other relevant EU legislation and Central Bank guidance, including the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF). In addition to technical responsibilities, the role will involve leadership, including people management and team development, fostering a high-performing and engaged Compliance Advisory team. In the role, the successful candidate will: Regulatory Leadership: Lead the Compliance Advisory team which provides regulatory and compliance advice covering the range of Davy’s regulatory obligations. Lead the firm’s response to evolving regulatory change, tracking change and identifying impacts for Davy facilitating timely and effective implementation of change. Oversee and direct strategic change projects from impact assessment through to delivery. Maintain a forward-looking view of the range of regulations such as MIFID,MAR and AML regulations impacting Davy. Compliance Oversight: Implement the Risk Management framework and embed regulatory compliance into daily activities while delivering the agreed Compliance plan. Develop and deliver relevant Compliance training to the business. Assist in drafting, maintaining and reviewing compliance policies and procedures Organise and direct the Compliance advisory team which supports all Davy departments Stakeholder Engagement & Support: Directly support the CCO in engagements with Regulators, Davy Board and BOI Group. Provide clear, pragmatic guidance on complex regulatory queries. Partner with colleagues ensuring the Compliance Advisory team provides high-quality advice identifying paths to compliance. Attend internal governance forums representing the Compliance function Build and develop a high-performing team while fostering strong collaboration with internal stakeholders across the organisation F&P The position set out above is defined in the Fitness & Probity Standards issued by the Central Bank of Ireland as a “Controlled Function (CF)”, namely CF2.
