JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to design, implement and deliver the Compliance Risk Assessment framework for the Americas region. This framework consists of the following areas:

  • A methodology to create the risk assessment, including quantitative risk based calculations;
  • The governance and processes required to ensure that the US Risk Assessment framework delivers to the Global Risk Assessment framework, where possible, and a methodology that aligns to industry/regulatory expectations;
  • The analysis and summary reporting resulting from the methodology; and
  • The action planning/remediation and process monitoring/reporting resulting from the analysis and summary report.

The Risk Assessment framework must be fully embedded within the Conduct, Financial Crime, and Compliance Risk (‘CFCR’) function and assist management to oversee and improve the control environment. The US Risk Assessment framework must meet all relevant regulatory and industry expectations and drive action throughout the US compliance function. As such, the US Risk Assessment framework will supplement or supersede SC Compliance Risk Assessments.
This role is also responsible for continuous assessment of issues raised within the Compliance Principal Risk Type that may introduce risk.
