Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head/Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items to the highest standards, ensuring dishes are presented attractively and served promptly to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety guidelines and health regulations.
- Assist with menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management as needed.
- Support the kitchen team by helping with food preparation, plating, and expediting dishes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Keep up-to-date with menu offerings and make recommendations to improve dishes and presentation.
- Participate in training and quality control initiatives to continually improve food quality and presentation.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all food items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and minimize delays.
Requirements:
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Ability to maintain food safety and health regulations.
- Experience with knife skills and ability to use kitchen equipment effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks, including helping with food preparation and plating.
- Basic knowledge of food service and the food industry.
- Familiarity with dietary aide requirements, as needed.
- Must have a passion for food and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
