Description

The Head Doorman plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of a venue or establishment. This position involves overseeing the door supervisor team, managing access control, maintaining a secure environment, and ensuring that all venue policies are followed. The Head Doorman is also responsible for handling high-pressure situations, coordinating with management, and delivering an exceptional experience for both staff and patrons.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of proven experience in security, door supervision, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment.
  • Certified in first aid and able to handle medical emergencies effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, patrons, and authorities.
  • Ability to remain calm and authoritative under pressure while resolving conflicts professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly during emergencies.
  • A high level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment to maintaining venue safety and security standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the team of door supervisors, ensuring all security operations run efficiently.
  • Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring only authorised individuals are permitted entry.
  • Conduct regular patrols and oversee surveillance of the premises to identify potential risks or disturbances.
  • Operate and manage CCTV systems effectively to monitor activities and maintain security.
  • Implement and oversee loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and safeguard property.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary.
  • Liaise with venue management, law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive incident reports, logs, and shift records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing venue policies with professionalism and authority.
  • Act as the first point of contact for resolving disputes and managing challenging situations.
